The Design Process
If you are commissioning a special piece, you are encouraged to make an appointment to see Robyn. Whether it be a ring to commemorate a wedding, engagement or commitment, or a neckpiece, brooch or bangle, we can create it.
Bring in any ideas you might have or write a list of things you do or don't like, to establish a starting point.
We must emphasise that we respect the integrity of other designers and will not copy.
Robyn will then work with you to draw up images, discuss possibilities and show examples. We have images for you to browse through. Incorporating existing stones or fragments from old jewellery is another possibility.
If sentiment is involved as it so often is with jewellery, we can reuse your gold in a new design.
We have an unusual array of gemstones on site for you to view. If we don't have what you require we can access stones from suppliers all over the world, including conflict free diamonds.
We specialise in sourcing unusual Australian gemstones, many of which are unknown, but spectatular in their own right.
At this point a time frame will be discussed depending on our work commitments, however it is usually four to six weeks. If required earlier, we will endeavour to accommodate your request. We guarantee that your special piece will be ready when promised.
We offer independent valuations for insurance purposes which are carried out by a qualified jewellery valuer on finished items.
Beautiful hand engraving is also available.
Care instructions will be discussed on collection of your jewels. You are encouraged to bring them back at regular intervals for cleaning at no charge.
Appraisal of condition, eg. wear and tear, will also be discussed and we will quote on any repairs if necessary.
From here, we hope you get many years of enjoyment from your original, handmade special piece. This can be handed down through generations knowing there is only one in existence like it.
